The GLP continues to go from strength to strength based on a focus on collaboration and seeking to positively impact on provision and practice. The range of schools in the partnership, including those from primary, secondary, comprehensive, selective, special and independent means there is a rare opportunity for voices across the sector to work together. This academic year we are looking at building upon our success with working with external agencies and organisation to help provide the best opportunities we can for schools, staff, families and most of all young people in Northwest Kent. Thank you for either your continued partnership, or if you are one of our new schools then I warmly welcome you onboard.

Gravesham Learning Partnership is a strong, connected and school-led partnership serving schools across Gravesham, Dartford and the surrounding area.

• We bring schools together through purposeful collaboration, professional learning and practical support.
• We help schools strengthen inclusive practice, develop leadership capacity and respond effectively to change.
• We create opportunities for colleagues to share expertise, resources and effective practice.
• We work with local services, charities and education partners to extend the support available to schools.
• We use feedback and evaluation to ensure our work remains relevant, high quality and focused on impact.

We currently have 19 member schools. Since GLP was established in 2011, around 80 other schools have worked with us through partnerships, projects and professional learning.

• Deliver a focused, high-quality programme that responds directly to the priorities of member schools.
• Strengthen inclusive practice and leadership capacity through evidence-informed professional learning and practical support.
• Bring schools and local partners together to share expertise, respond effectively to change and develop collective strength.
• Use consistent feedback and evaluation to strengthen provision and demonstrate its impact.

Who we are?

This is a fully school-led system and not-for-profit charity that puts schools and leaders at the heart of what we do.  We are more than a collaboration, we are colleagues, peers and friends.   

The GLP works in partnership in the areas of standards and school improvement, CPD and procurement. The GLP will act as a hub and will strive to further strengthen the ties which already exist between our schools and all schools across Gravesham, Dartford and the surrounding areas, with the firm commitment to collectively ensure the best possible outcome for all pupils through the sharing of resources, knowledge and best
practice.

We are a self-improving system where:

- Building continuity of relationships is at the heart of sustainable, strategic development.

Trust – we believe in building trust between our members and others we work with. We know that when there are high levels of trust things get done quicker, more efficiently and are more effective. To achieve this, members need to demonstrate integrity, be open about their motives, have the capability to do what they have agreed to do and always do what they say they will.

Innovation – We believe that the partnership is innovative in its approach to achieving its goal and we will strive to be creative and original in all our work. We will be open to new ideas and willing to take risks together.

Inclusiveness – We believe in and value the diversity and differences within the partnership and strive to be inclusive in all aspects of its work, acknowledging different needs and being tolerant of different views encouraging honest dialogue on points of difference.

Passion – We believe the partnership is built on the passion of individuals and organisations to make a positive difference. The GLP will be passionate in its support of its members in being optimistic, excited by new ideas, inspiring others, persevering and being determined to succeed.

GLP Subscriptions from April 2026:

- Schools with a roll less than 210 will pay £2.50 per pupil
- Schools with a roll greater than 211 will pay £3.32 per pupil 

What schools will get for your subscription 2026 – 2027:

- A stake in the creation of an organisation fit for supporting education innovation and development.
- Free access to local networks and groups.
- Free/best price professional learning opportunities commissioned and co-created by schools.
- Subsidised CPD opportunities.
- Economy of scale in terms of negotiating contracts/commissioning services on behalf of Partnership schools.

 What the GLP expects from member schools:

- To provide support to the partnership.
- Ensure that any invoices are paid within 30 days of receipt.
- Wherever possible to honour attendance at events when stated that they are attending, or to provide communication with advance warning if circumstances    mean that they are unable to attend.

Schools that wish to become members will pay a discounted annual subscription rate for April 2026 - March 2027, as follows: 

Schools with a roll less than 210 will pay £2.50 per pupil 
Schools with a roll greater than 211 will pay £3.32 per pupil 

For any schools joining partway through the financial year, the figure will be prorated accordingly.
 

GLP provides a focused programme of professional learning, collaboration and practical support, shaped by the priorities and needs of member schools.

Professional learning and networks

Member schools have access to:

SENCO and Inclusion Network meetings
EYFS Network meetings
Teaching Assistant Network meetings
Attendance Network meetings
Pastoral and Mental Health Network meetings
These networks bring colleagues together to engage with current evidence and guidance, share effective practice, learn from other schools and develop practical responses to common priorities.

Leadership development

The programme includes:

A three-session Senior Leadership Programme
A three-session Middle Leadership Programme
Professional learning and briefings focused on inspection, improvement and educational change
Direct engagement and support from the GLP Consultant Head

Disadvantaged, Equity and Closing Gaps Briefing
Inspection Improvement Briefing
Oracy, Language and Learning Briefing
Additional events developed in response to emerging priorities and member-school needs

Member schools also receive:

A fortnightly newsletter sharing relevant information, guidance, resources and opportunities
Opportunities to visit other schools and see effective practice in context
Access to expertise from across the GLP network
Connections with local services, charities, education partners and other organisations
Free advertising of vacancies within member schools
Access to discounted e-learning and other commissioned professional learning opportunities

Our Impact in 2025–2026

Engagement across the partnership remained strong:

95% of member schools participated in GLP activity.
Average attendance increased to 6.6 colleagues per event, a 43% year-on-year increase.
Participants gave GLP provision an average quality rating of 4.6 out of 5.
Feedback shows that colleagues particularly value the relevance of the programme, opportunities to learn from one another and access to expertise from across the partnership.
