Pastoral and Mental Health Network Meeting - 10th March 2027

Audience: Headteachers, senior leaders, pastoral leaders, mental health leads, SENCOs, DSLs, family liaison staff and other colleagues supporting pupils and families, primary and secondary.

This course will provide:

Building on the success of previous Pastoral and Mental Health Forums, this session will bring colleagues together to consider current priorities and emerging challenges in supporting pupils’ wellbeing, mental health and inclusion.

Participants will have opportunities to share effective practice, discuss common challenges and explore practical approaches that can be adapted within their own settings.

The content will be shaped by the priorities of participating schools and relevant local and national developments. It will consider how pastoral provision, early help, safeguarding and wider partnership working can contribute to positive and sustainable outcomes for pupils and families.

  • To share effective pastoral and mental-health practice across schools.
  • To consider current and emerging priorities affecting pupils and families.
  • To explore practical approaches to early identification and support.
  • To strengthen connections between pastoral provision, safeguarding and inclusion.
  • To develop collaboration between schools and relevant local partners.
